We’ve been a bit remiss about updating everyone on all the changes we are making to our Bitcoin Solo Mining Platform. So starting today! We are going to try to keep you up to date!

This article provides information on the latest release changes and some historical changes from earlier releases.

Bitcoin Solo Mining App for Umbrel

We just released an update to our MintSolo Community App available for Umbrel Users. The latest update fixes some issues we were having with the Dashboard Endpoints assigned to users after the install was completed.

Beta Release v0.0.6 Includes

The following fixes are included in this release.

• Dashboard Endpoints – we were experiencing issues with the correct assignment of dashboard endpoints. Users reported receiving endpoints with names intended for development, not production.
• Worker Name examples – thanks to one of our users, we made the page displayed in our app on Umbrel more descriptive when referring to Worker Names. Now, in addition to the URL example for setting up your miner, we have included a NOTE outlining the requirement that miners have worker names, along with some example names users might provide to their miners.

We encourage all users of our MintSolo App for Umbrel to update to this version as soon as possible. With Umbrel, you should see an update notice and a simple one-click upgrade button.

Prior Software Releases

Here’s a quick recap of some of our earlier releases and the changes included.

Beta Release – v0.0.5

• Changed the Environment ID used by Zrok – Zrok is used to create the Dashboard Endpoints, and we changed this for our production release.
• Set specific container references – within our Docker Compose file utilized by the MintSolo-Platform app, we now reference specific container digests to ensure that we are deploying containers that have been tested for our app.

Beta Release – v0.0.4

• Skipped this change

Beta Release – v0.0.3

• Reworked MintSolo for Node 22.21.1 – previously, the platform (pool) software used internally for our Umbrel App was using an older version of Node. Node and all NPM modules were updated in this release.
• New GitHub Actions – we added GitHub Actions to build all containers and deploy to the various Docker Registries we use. It provides automated deployment upon GitHub updates.

Beta Release – v0.0.2

• Reworked the Build for a Smaller Docker image – initially, during our container builds, we were noticing containers that were over 800 KB in size. This rework brought the final deployed container down to around 250 KB.
• Docker image using Index Digest – referenced our newer, smaller containers via their digest index to ensure everything worked after the size reduction.

• Initial release was skipped
