We’re excited to announce that MintSolo will integrate GoSlimStratum (GSS), developed by MMFP Solutions, LLC, into our hosted mining pools. GSS is a lightweight, multi-coin Stratum mining pool server.
We quote the following information from their website –
Production-ready solo mining pool written in Go, designed to bridge ASIC miners (like Bitaxe) directly to blockchain nodes. Supports various SHA256d coins including Bitcoin, DigiByte, Bitcoin Cash, and eCash.
- Various SHA256d coins supported (4 built-in + others via coins.json)
- Solo mining – full block rewards to finder
- Optimized with VARDIFF support (MMFP’s algorithm)
The integration with GSS is important to MintSolo’s future growth, as it will accelerate the rollout of additional cryptocurrency mining options for our users.
Roll-Out Plans
MintSolo will begin the rollout of GSS with our U.S.-based hosted pool (bc2.us-cent.mintsolo.com) beginning on Thursday, February 12. The rollout will be transparent to anyone currently mining BitcoinII on this server. Users will not need to make any changes to their configurations.
Soon after we complete the rollout for BitcoinII on our U.S Server, we will begin the change for the Bitcoin pool. An announcement will be made to inform our users of the upgrade timeframe. Again, we do not anticipate any changes requiring your intervention, and the upgrade should be transparent to the users.
Once the U.S. pools are upgraded, we will begin upgrading our European (Great Britain) server. More details to follow.
